  1. Job Task Analysis (JTA) Creation: Defining the core responsibilities and knowledge required for the certification field.
  2. JTA Survey: Assessing the criticality and frequency of tasks to help develop the exam blueprint.
  3. Question Writing: Crafting questions aligned with certification objectives.
  4. Question Review: Reviewing and refining questions to ensure quality and accuracy.
  5. Standard Setting: Collaborating with a psychometrician to determine exam difficulty and cut scores.
  6. Angoff Study: Evaluating beta exam results and setting final certification standards.

Time Commitment

Your participation hours depend on the phase and complexity of the exam. For example:

  • Survey process: 30 - 60 minutes per exam (varies by exam level and number of tasks).
  • Writing: Approximately 1 hour per question (varies by exam level).
  • Reviewing: 1 hour for every 10 questions (Fundamentals) or 4 questions (Practitioner).
  • Standard Setting: 2+ hours.
